Communication

Satellite
For more than 15 years Design Analysis Associates Inc. has been offering satellite communcation systems with our remote monitoring equipment. The most common satellite communication during this time has been utalizing the GOES (Geostationinary Orbital Earth Satellite) satellite operated by NESDIS www.nesdis.noaa.gov. More recently NESDIS has required that all operators with GOES transmitters be updated to the new High Data Rate (HDR) satellite transmitters. For the past seven years we have been offering this transmitter. In addition, the same reliable transmitter can be configured for use with both METEOSAT (European Geostationary Satellite) and INSAT (Indian Geostationary Satellite). The following equipment showcase this equipment.

H-222

The WaterLOG® Model H-222 is satellite transmitter (GOES, INSAT, METEOSAT) for operation with our XL series dataloggers.

H-522+

The WaterLOG® Model H-522+™ is state of the art DCP/satellite transmitter (GOES, INSAT, METEOSAT). This DCP includes a integrated satellite transmitter and keypad & dispaly for programming at the remote site.

H-522

The WaterLOG® Model H-522™ is state of the art DCP/satellite transmitter (GOES, INSAT, METEOSAT). This unit is identical in features to that of the H-522+ with the exception of the onboard keypad and display.

H-522Jr

The WaterLOG® Model H-522Jr™ is basic DCP/satellite transmitter (GOES, INSAT, METEOSAT). This unit is provides a means to read various sensors at a remote site and transmit the data via satellite. Communication to the DCP for set up is accomplished via PC interface through the serial port.

Satellite Accessories

H-223

The WaterLOG® Model H-223 is GOES transmitter antenna. This antenna is for use with the GOES satellites operating on the 401.8MHz frequency. Please contact sales department for use with other satellites such as METEOSAT and INSAT.

ALERT

H-264

The WaterLOG® Model H-264 ALERT Serial Interface (ASI) is a multi-purpose device that accepts ALERT ID and data reports in variety of serial data formats.

ALERT Accessories

H-223-ALERT - 168-174MHz Antenna
H-224 - ALERT Antenna Cable, Type BNC Male/N Male Antenna Cable (20ft)
H-224-CUSTOM - Custom Antenna Cable (lengths greater than 20ft)

Radio

H-424-MS

The WaterLOG® Model H-424-MS Radio link is a spread spectrum SDI radio bridge.  The radio link provides transparent, SDI-12 compliant communication between the data recorder and one or more remote sites. All SDI-12 commands are supported, including manufacturer specific extended commands. The radio operates in the license-free, 900 Mhz ISM Band eliminating the need for any FCC licensing, allowing the radio system to be used immediately. Radio can operate up to 10 miles depending upon antenna and site conditions.

H-4400

The WaterLOG® H-4400 is a spread spectrum RS-232 radio bridge. The H-4400 radio link is often used to interface a data recorder with a remote “point-of-sale” display. The display allows water level data to be displayed at a project office or other location remote from the data recorder and water level sensing equipment. The radio link uses modern direct sequence spread spectrum telemetry radios. Spread spectrum technology is highly secure and has good interference immunity. The radio operates in the license-free 900 Mhz ISM Band.

H-4401-S/M

The WaterLOG® H-4401 is a wireless “DAA” SDI-12 bridge. The wireless bridge is ideal where one or more SDI-12 sensors must be physically located hundreds or thousands of feet from the data logger. The radio link only operates with WATERLOG® XL data recorders.

Radio Accessories

H-223-ALERT - 168-174MHz Antenna
H-224 - ALERT Antenna Cable, Type BNC Male/N Male Antenna Cable (20ft)
H-224-CUSTOM - Custom Antenna Cable (lengths greater than 20ft)

Data/Voice

H-219VM

The WaterLOG® H-219-VM is used with the XL™ Series Data Loggers allowing any of the sensor readings to be transmitted over the Voice Modem system. The H-219 Voice Modem may be added easily to existing sites.

Other
Because of our complete open ended ability with our XL series data recorders, other means of communication through our serial ports is virtually unlimited. From GPRS/GSM modems to Internet connection, anything is possible. Please contact our Sales department for more information.
