Storm Local v2.1.bin — v 2.1 — 7/14/2016

We integrate Storm Local with MapQuest to present this dynamic map. Recently MapQuest made policy changes that left our current version of Storm Local unable to connect to these maps. To facilitate the necessary changes to restore our connection to the map, a patch is required to be uploaded to your existing Storm Local.
Please follow these steps to make this integration as easy as possible:


1. Go to www.waterlog.com.
2. Select Products at the top of the Home page. Select Software/Firmware.
3. Enter the registration information and select Download Software button.
4. Select the Storm tab and scroll to Storm Local V2.1.BIN and select the Download Storm Local V2.1.BIN button.
5. Note the location on your PC were you saved the "StormLocalV2.1.bin" file.
6. On the PC where Storm Local is installed, open an Internet browser. Navigate to http://127.0.0.1/SoftwareUpdate.php or click on the "Settings" page in the upper right side of the Storm Local web page.
7. Select "Software Update" in the middle of the page.
8. Next, click "Browse" in the "Software Update" section of the web page.
9. Select the binary patch file titled "StormLocalV2.1.bin" from the location where it was saved in Step 1 above.
10. Finally, click "open" and the file is uploaded, verified, and the Storm local system will be upgraded to 2.1.

Storm 3 Firmware — v 1.4.8 — 10 May 2016

This firmware is free to any Storm 3 owners/users and does not require any activation code. Please follow the instructions in the Storm 3 manual for details on how to check the version of your instrument's current firmware version and how to upgrade it if necessary. Firmware improvements include:

  • Addition of BASIC programming commands PRINTSDI and WRITESDI to allow completely custom SDI commands to be issued from BASIC programs

This fully integrated fiberglass enclosure (14x10x6) includes a Storm 3 with modem (GPRS-GSM, GPRS-3G, or CDMA-1X), panel, mounts, 18  Amp Hour battery, 20 Watt solar panel and solar regulator.
